1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ArtistSea, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Description of Service

ArtistSea is a platform designed for artists to:

• Share artwork, articles, and creative content
• Connect with other artists through communities
• Organize art supplies, projects, deadlines, and portfolios (Premium features)

3. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to upload, post, or share content that:

• Is illegal - Including but not limited to child exploitation material, which will be reported to authorities
• Infringes copyright - Content you do not have rights to share
• Is explicitly sexual - Pornographic or obscene material
• Promotes violence or hate - Content targeting individuals or groups
• Is spam or deceptive - Misleading content, scams, or excessive self-promotion
• Harasses others - Bullying, threats, or personal attacks

Artistic nudity in appropriate contexts (figure drawing, classical art) may be permitted at our discretion.

5. Content Ownership & License

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the artwork and content you upload. By posting content on ArtistSea, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content solely in connection with operating and promoting the ArtistSea platform.

Image Processing: To optimize storage, performance, and loading times, all uploaded images are automatically processed. This processing includes resizing, format conversion, and removal of metadata (such as EXIF data) for your privacy. Original uploaded files are not retained after processing. While we store high-resolution versions suitable for display and archival purposes, the exact resolution may differ from your original upload. If you require preservation of original files, please maintain your own backups.

AI Training: ArtistSea may use anonymized data to improve moderation, safety, and platform functionality.

Removal: You may delete your content at any time. We will remove it from our active systems, though cached copies may persist temporarily.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to:

• Review content before it appears publicly (for community posts)
• Use automated content safety tools to screen uploaded images for prohibited content such as sexual activity, violence, illegal material, and hate symbols
• Automatically reject and block content identified by our safety tools as violating these terms
• Remove content that violates these terms without notice
• Block re-uploads of previously removed content
• Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
• Report illegal content to appropriate authorities

Some community content may require moderator approval before becoming visible. Uploaded images may be automatically screened by AI-powered content safety tools before human review. Artistic nudity (figure studies, classical nudes, life drawing) is permitted and is not flagged by our automated systems.

7. Premium Subscriptions

ArtistSea offers optional Premium features:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
• You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period
• Refunds are provided in accordance with applicable law
• Free trial users are not charged until the trial ends
• Premium data (inventory, notes, etc.) is retained for 30 days after subscription ends, then deleted permanently

8. Intellectual Property

The ArtistSea name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. You may not use our branding without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ArtistSea is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArtistSea shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Upload prohibited content
• Engage in abusive behavior toward other users
• Attempt to circumvent our security measures

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ArtistSea after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification.
